Hand printed in Manchester, United Kingdom.

We — Anissa and Sara — started Vertical Struggles as two people addicted to indoor bouldering (outdoor soon!!).

Coming from multi-ethnic backgrounds, expressing who we are has always been a battle. Every piece of apparel we create comes from that internal dialogue — the experience of cognitive dissonance in a world on fire.

Each design is hand-printed with intention. As a small print and design studio, we’re committed to transparency — no BS — and to creating apparel that pushes collective reflection while prioritising eco-conscious materials and practices all round.

Our first release, Losing Grip, Not Solidarity — Free Palestine

Has been a project to turn grief and numbness into solidarity. Reflective at heart, each person plays a part — and it’s up to you to decide what that means for you. If you’re interested in how it was made click the link below to the nerdy art side of things!
